08/05: Pitcher of Love

Unfailing love - can only be God's love.
1John 4:18
There is NO FEAR in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment.
The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
"teleioo" - The Greek word for made perfect, means: to perfect, complete, finish, reach a goal, be fulfilled, completed
Fear - we all have it. My girlfriend yesterday said, "I never work in the yard because I'm scared to death of worms."
We had tornadoes spotted in our area the last couple of days and genuine fear grabbed the hearts of many.
Some kids I know are ready to graduate and fear the future.
What do you fear?
I fear I won't be able to keep up.
This new radio show is such a gift from God. He is putting all the pieces together so perfectly and yet I look at Him and say, "Lord, I am the weakest link in this endeavor!"
We listened to some of the sound effects that will be used to invoke the feel of the 'coffee shop' environment. One was the recognizable rush of coffee pouring into a cup.
So my prayer today is:
God, will you remove every bit of fear and junk from my heart and replace it with your unfailing love? Make my heart a pitcher that only pours your love onto every soul I encounter. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

And here I shamelessly use my access to your blog readers to ask all to pray for a little girl Anna's age... 11 yr old Sydney Ives. She's Anna's teacher's niece. She is a brave soldier.
She has been battling a brain tumor for about a year, and yesterday her family was told there is nothing more medically that can be done for her. Outside of the miraculous, she has one or two months.
But we live inside the Miraculous.
