You mentioned today in your devotional that there was a first marriage and when I read your bio you have a husband whom you refer to as the love of your life. I'm apologize for the question but I just wonder what happened to husband #1.

I enjoyed today's devotion, that unfailing love is the best kind. The word "love" is used to casually these days. People throw it around without TRULY meaning it. We should all strive to trust our heart to someone who can provide as close to God's unfailing love as humanly possible. I'm a quote person so this one came to mind when reading today.
"When you feel someone's joys and pains as if they were your own, that is when you know you love them."

Tough question. I didn't ask God what He wanted to do with my life and so, I made horrible decisions in my youth. I am a walking testimony that God can take any life, no matter how crumbled, and turn it around to be used in His hands.

Dear Luann-Thank you for your open and honest devotional today. How can we trust anyone? Adults are supposed to care for little ones, not abuse them, and especially church leaders! When I don't trust people, the reaction is always, "WHY DON'T YOU TRUST ME?" Well, I worked in a children's ER and I saw all kinds of crazy stuff. That's why I don't trust people. It's difficult to trust even family. What can I do about this?

To Trust,
Yep, I get it. Been there. As a matter of fact when our youngest daughter was preparing to walk out the door to study abroad in Argentina for a semester, my husband grasped her shoulders, stared her square in the eyes and exclaimed, "Don't trust ANYONE!" And she said those words helped her make smart choices while she was away from friends and family.

I'm sure that was true, however I also know that she had parents back home praying for her guardian angels to be visible to anyone who would try to harm her. And her adventures will have to be told at another time, but just know, her angels got a work out!

But really, God doesn't expect us to go through this life with a wall up, although for years I did. He promises that we need not worry or fear because He will never leave us or forsake us.

I must say, I love my life, the good, the bad and the ugly! Because without EVERY experience I've had, I would not be the person I am today. And that person is a work in progress, not quite done, but the family resemblance of my Lord and Savior is beginning to eek through.

So should we trust others? We should trust God, who allows others to cross our path. He IS FAITHFUL.

It feels like Christmas! I will have a hard time going to sleep tonight because I am so pumped about what he is already doing!!!!

Romans8:37-38 is my favorite verse.It gives me life.My 4yrdaughter was molested by a christian friend,my grandson was born with a vital piece of his brain missing a year later my joyfull Jesus loving 22yrson was murdered by a paranoid
schexophenic while he was at his job at k-mart despite all these things I know that Jesus loves meand nothing can seperate me from his loveTo trust or distrust I would like to say what a wise
woman(my mom) once said to me You can never trust people they are only human and they will hurt you but you can alwaystrust Jesus. It is difficult to comprehend the terrible things that happen in this life.2 books that have helped me is Why? by Billy Grahams daughter and When God Doesn't Make Sense
